A cigar created to mark a milestone — and one that became a benchmark for aged Nicaraguan tobacco.
The 1964 Anniversary Series was introduced in 1994 to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the Padrón family’s cigar making, which began in 1964. It was built around sun-grown Nicaraguan tobacco aged for several years before rolling.
The name refers to 1964, the year José Orlando Padrón founded the company after leaving Cuba — not the year this line was released.
The line is box-pressed and made entirely with Nicaraguan tobacco, a full-flavored expression of the country’s volcanic-soil leaf.
